So of no fault but my own I haven't been out for months! Today I just got up and said that's it I'm going out and there was this old abandoned house about 3 miles from my home and I decided to go take a look and hopefully get some snaps. Well I turn up to the spot and the damn house has been knocked down! I am so bummed! I'm so tired from working all the time I just don't have the energy to get out as much as I want to and when I finally do this happens! I feel I may be cursed! I guess I just wanted to vent
It was dark, my heart was pounding, I just had to go in Flickr: Urban Mans

Posting a bad day bitch in the Main Forum is a good way to get cursed I've lost count of places that are gone... many were large industrial wonderland sites.
You didn't get hurt, busted, lose/damage gear or a car; good as it gets. If it worked perfectly every time it become a bore. See a good site, jump on it before it's gone...
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.
I'm extremely bummed that it has rained without stopping for two days straight now, thus ruining my plans to explore strange and new locations that I simply didn't know existed yet. I'm sick of this damn rain! Ok, who's next...
I live on Long Island, so everything is either trashed, demolished, or will soon be one or both of those things. If I want to do anything "nearby", I have to go through or around NYC, take a ferry, cross a toll bridge, or any combination of the three.

Happens, it's not like its the end of the world or anything. I always try to look at the most up to date satellite data to see what the deal is from above. A lot of times it's hard to tell but it's better than driving across Texas to see some demolished hospital and beat yourself up over it.

At least the people on LI are nice... almost makes you want to stay at home

I dunno, we could all use a good complain sometimes.
For example, I'm bummed out because the weather here can't decide if it's hot or cold, so every time I go rooftopping thinking it'll be warm, I regret not bringing a coat and just shivering until I get back inside. It's horrible. I wish nature would decide already.
Tell me about it. There's just not much good exploring here in Madison. Due to a combination of scarce land (due to being on an isthmus), bans on structures higher than the capitol building, and economic prosperity, there just aren't many abandonments. The most famous one got knocked down around six years back or so, and with it went most of the exploring. The outskirts of the city are a good two hour bus ride away, and even that far out there isn't much.
My hometown was a fifth of the size of Madison, and it had more abandonments. It wasn't doing too shabby economically either. But hey, at least there's the steam tunnels here on campus.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.

Sounds familiar from good ol' DC. I guess my complaint is that today is the first day I've had free in about 2 months, and it decided to rain. It's been about three weeks with no rain, but could it wait one more day?
