Anyone come across buildings just filled with clay/dirt mix? Today my team and I went to what was supposed to be an abandoned glue factory, but the place was filled with clay. further investigation led us to believe that the place was possibly used for soil sample collections and testing. It seemed the place got used for a lot of things before it was abandoned though, because there was also parts of an assembly line inside too. The clay filled most of the building, and it was a single, super big room. It looked like the clay covered a lot of things. Any idea why all the clay/dirt mix?

Dried concrete mix, perhaps? I've explored an abandoned concrete production facility that still had wet concrete present from rainwater soaking the dust. It had a clay-like consistency.

Well do to the tire tracks, it looks like it was being moved/arranged almost Maybe they used the area for storing whatever it is. It seems likely

If this is the building I'm thinking of, it was indeed used to store environmental samples. I believe it's been closed less than a decade, and mostly looked like this when it was operational.

Obviously the authorities have decided to backfill abandoned buildings. In a related project, tunnels will now be burned down as a way to dispose of them.

Furthermore, all storm drain lines will be rerouted to rooftop level for greater efficiency.

Building rooftops will also be chopped off and placed at ground level to discourage sock dangle 'grams.
