I had a couple hours to kill this weekend so I decided to stop at a couple of local abandoned houses I've been driving past for awhile but never explored. Unfortunately, I have been able to find no history on either one. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, I've just driven past them so many times that I wanted to check them out. 1. Wow, those places are pretty thrashed. Nice work! I really like the random shoe in the window.

Nice shots, especially the fireplace one!

I like how there's still clothes in the closet and everything! Did you park nearby? There's an abandoned house somewhat near me but I haven't been able to go yet because there's no parking nearby and I'm afraid my car would attract unwanted attention.

Trashed, but still beautiful. I liked the kitchen sink and destroyed book shot!
One day I got a good camera. https://www.flickr...hotos/fleetsurbex/ | |
Thanks for the comments and compliments all!

There was no great place to park nearby either house so I parked at a gas station at an intersection between them. House #1 was about a half mile north of the gas station and house #2 was about a mile west of it. So I did a fair bit of walking but it was a nice day so why not? I agree about the car attracting unwanted attention so I avoid parking at the location but I'm one that doesn't mind a long walk. If you absolutely can't find somewhere to park within walking distance, try taking a bicycle (much easier to hide than a car) or having somebody drop you off at the house and then pick you back up when you're done.
