I visited a popular sushi spot, that was abandoned less than a year ago. I stumbled across the building while driving, and made my way back to property at night. The area contains a few more great spots, so expect a few more posts from the general vicinity.
As for the sushi restaurant, the kitchen in the back still had food in it, leaving a terrible scent throughout the place. Most of the office was still intact, and there was even unopened alcohol in storage. Unfortunately I couldn't spend too much time there, so I skipped over a couple rooms and made my way to the seating area. The architecture of the restaurant was pretty cool, and the clean atmosphere made for an eerie setting. As I made my way out of the restaurant, I believe I found where the owner slept, in a crammed room just outside of the building.

Dang-that's too bad when a popular place just shuts down like that...But the rewards to be found in exploring...Nice to see no vandalism.

Nice. There is a Mexican place left like this near me. A bit less thrashed though. People accused me of posting a running restaurant
