A Birmingham PSA...

....to anyone who decides to go to that big hospital downtown, ffs, don't park right next to it, and please don't pull into the parking decks. That's just stupid. There's plenty of available parking in the surrounding blocks, it's not that long of a walk. BPD likes to drive around the place and also sit up in the parking decks waiting for people to pull in.

I'm also curious if any of the two groups that got caught there last Sunday are on this site. Especially the group that pulled into the parking deck a few minutes after the police pulled in.

Good info! I would always park down the road and try to blend. I have noticed them on the way out twice before, but I haven't been in a few months.

Tell it like it is. Even the scrapper who you could hear tearing apart the AC a block away wasn't drawing as much attention as some of the explorer out there that day. Or maybe he brought the attention to the place, Who knows. It never hurts to be discreet.

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

story time.

3rd time visit after noticing PD SUV's watching the place and figuring out sight lines.

After we were almost in we saw so IDIOTS park their rides directly across the street to the hospital!

After we were inside we were figuring out what to do and PD came in. My group got questioned but I was ghosting PD. Ran into the middle age group and told them off. Hope they made it out. Rest of my group was questioned and released.

As I was scoping the streets from widows a car full of stupid teens pulls up in an SUV. As I was leaving I tried to warn them but I could hear shit smashing so I left.

1. WTF - anyone ever call??

I just called it since I am extremely bored. Her name is Charity and sounded nice enough. She was surprised (upset even?) that her phone number was online.

Hey all, sorry to rehash a rather old post, but I just recently found out about this location...I was just curious if there has been anyone who's explored this recently, and if there's any updates regarding this site. Seems like a great explore, but it'd be an 8hr drive for me...mostly l want to know what the security/police presence is, if any. Thanks for any help you can offer!

I would not waste my time.

A) Looks like a nuclear bomb has been detonated inside
Multiple active scrappers inside when I went

Because of A and B, I stayed roughly 30 minutes. Didn't even break out the camera.

Active scrappers...sounds like it's not so much worth an 8 hour drive. Thanks for the info, I'd consider it if it was alot closer, but in this case it likely isn't worth the risk.
I've found a few smaller hospitals here in NC, but nothing quite as huge as the Birmingham site, although I explored an old asylum in SC last week, it was totally worth the 3 hour drive (and 8 hour explore). Thanks again for the update, guess I'll keep searching!
