I'm new to this website, and this is one of my first posts, so go easy! This was my first and only location before I moved out of Florida. I went three times though. It was about two hours from my house and worth the trip every time! Some history: This Florida prison opened in 1932 and closed in 2011. 6 inmates escaped from here. Cool shots, really like the first and the last one. It is nice once and a while to see a location that isn't over grown.

Thanks! The old warehouses at the corner of the campus are in use by the new owner, so I'm guessing that's why the grass is maintained.

Both of these photos are of the building with the major roof damage. They were taken before the cell blocks were added. 1975-1978 pt01460 by Amanda B., on Flickr I'm not sure what year this photo is from, but it was definitely taken after 1961. com04625 by Amanda B., on Flickr
