Budd Company

I visited the Budd Company building today. This is pretty much the first time I've done this, but I'd like to do it again. I wasn't alone there, I saw someone scrapping and could occasionally hear them, but I kept my distance so we never crossed paths. I might go back another time to access some of the areas I had to avoid. Anyway here are some pictures I took:

There were a lot of gutted electronics lying around, most of them stripped down to the plastic or metal casings.

I went up and it looked like it just went to a level I'd already been to, but I didn't go down because it was too spooky.

More gutted electronics

This place is massive

When I came in there was what looked like someone scrapping stuff down in this area. I don't know if he saw me but I decided it'd be best to avoid going down there anyway even though it looked cool.

As I walked into the first part of this room I heard a phone bleep from around the corner so I nope'd out.

Did you go in there alone? If so that's wild. I was paranoid even with a good buddy there. Good for you though. You got some great photos here. It's a cool place, one of my favorite industrial spots.

Yeah I did go in alone, and I was pretty paranoid. I only stayed about an hour and the whole time I was constantly looking over my shoulder to make sure I was alone. Hopefully getting more experience, and maybe going with other people, will make it a little easier.

Looks like a really cool place. I almost always explore solo. It is unnerving at first but you will get used to it, and that little bit of fear that remains will keep you vigilant. If you are going alone, always make sure that someone knows where you are and how long you plan to be gone.

I think on this occasion I was the more chilled one haha.

Loved this place, one of the biggest locations I have ever explored. A real playground more than anything.

This place was cool. It's all pretty much the same. Once you've explored one building you can call it a day hah. Ended up doing some cool stuff with that desk and some broken glass. Ended up running into a scrapper on the roof. We talked for a few minutes and went about our day.

I dunno about it all being the same - mostly, yes, but there are a couple of very cool different floors far at the back of the site that are completely flooded. The boiler house/power station building is cool as well if you can find it.
