I had the day off this past Sunday and figured I'd spend it on casual explore with a buddy of mine. I had heard of an old observatory a while back, and I've wanted to check out for quite some time now.
We were lucky enough to come across a trail that hadn't been used in a while
Despite the cold, the hike was surprisingly enjoyable.
Spotted this gem hidden in the woods
The observatory in its deteriorating, morning glory
Also came across this huge radio dish that seemed to still be in use.
A shot from a little ways up the ladder (it was coated in ice and incredibly slippery) featuring my partner in crime at ground level.
Instruments I could see through a window at one of the buildings.

Unfortunately it was locked up pretty well, I could not.
