While I know this is not a typical post for most here and many may find it grandly unimpressive, this location is quite near and dear to me. When my eyes first fell upon the buildings that once stood here, the plant had already been long abandoned. I day dreamed about visiting the site when I would pass by it, up until they began demo back in 03 (Backstory, these were years 6-12 for me soooo playing in a derelict cement factory would have been a GREAT* idea, minus the fact that I had no way of actually getting there without a vehicle/adult) Last night when I was searching google maps for the perfect place to spent my day off, I re-stumbled upon this place. I haven't been back in this town in years so when I saw the main building being torn up, I had only assumed the worst for everything on the property. To see this stack still standing today, warms my heart a little.

Welcome to the forums! I really like 8 and historical photos are always awesome. I am glad there was enough of it left to go back to when you started exploring. I remember as a child going to my grandparents house, and passing by an abandoned school along the way. Some years later when I able to drive I went out there and got inside. Being able to satisfy years of curiosity is priceless. Keep up it up, I look forward to seeing more.

Thanks =D 4 and 8 are my two favorites and the aerial was actually quite an easy google search away once I figured out the actual name of the place.. Herp de Derp Concrete factory didn't get me much anywhere I expected lol. Outside of visiting, I really enjoyed getting to read up on its history and the company the built it. I may include the history in a later post if I do go back, what was intended to be a quick visit may have turned into a impromptu scouting trip. There was another building that I never saw from the road but there was too much traffic to attempt to get any closer.
