Now imagine if she had been alone, with either no phone or shit service.. I always thought when prisons closed up they had to remove the locking mechs from the doors to prevent something like this from happening?

Apparently this dope couldn't either...

I'm paranoid about stuff like this. I never allow a door to be fully closed, and if everyone walks into a room, I stand outside just so we're not all in there. Always assume that if a door latches, it will lock.

At least test it before you commit. Those cell doors are double locking I believe. Guess she got a little dose of what it feels like to be locked in against your will*. Then, she got broken out of prison by some burly men. Then she got to feel how it feels to be arrested. Then she got to be in the news. -perfect day-
*her locked up selfie is no doubt floating around the web now. How quaint.

I remember the brief horrible panic I felt when I accidentally locked myself in a clean room at a closed pharmaceutical factory, the doors were operated automatically on a pull cord thing and the only pull cord was situated on the outside of the doors, and as the power was on still they worked as intended...luckily we were on a permission visit organised by the sites owners and after a few seconds one of my fellow explorers noticed where I was!

Guess she had a guilty conscience about trespassing, and decided to save the courts some time. Someone should have told her she'd most likely just be looking at a fine.

That's a bit more relaxed. Smashy-smashy isn't an escape option in a prison cell*. If this dumb runt had done something this stupid somewhere critical, she be dead... maybe a splore of the Paris catacombs is in her near future.
Darwin never had to cull his herds, they did it themselves

I can assure you the feeling of panic and dread was real, albeit for a comparatively short amount of time

I've always been wary of self closing/locking doors. Getting trapped in an fire escape stairwell is another way to do it. I've come close... Block the door if you aren't sure... and hope no one kicks the block out!
