Welcome aboard. Congrats on actually getting a good look at the Queen, I attempted and failed back in April, the neighbors saw me on the way in and weren't too pleased. Definitely one of the most interesting derelicts in our area.

Great shot of the Queen. If you don't mind sharing, what time of day did you go at? It's definitely on my list for urbex in the Van area.

Welcome! Ive tried twice there with no luck so far, both times are in the middle of the day on a weekend though. thinking of stealthing my way in late at night though it would be nice to go there during the day

went in mid summer in the middle of the day. I connections to the owner so if i got caught i wouldn't be in "deep" shit. I wouldn't try and go here though as there is a few people living on the property. There are a few other boats and such there that are fun to explore as well and some cars ect ect. We never actually "got on" the boat as it was locked up with a padlock, but like i say i have connections and might be able to arrange something where a few of us can go check it out with the owners permission. but even getting close is so cool to see. It such an interesting thing to explore. And like I say there IS for sure people living there. I know there is a guy in an RV because we saw full water cans and propane cans next to his rv and i think there might be a few people living on there boats down there too. Defiantly was a risky move to do on my part in mid day, but hey i didn't get caught.

I went to the queen this past summer and asked permission to walk around. There is one guy living in the RV who also grows his pot outside. He is pretty cool, we sat there and had a couple beers with him and shot the shit. There is another guy that lives there and he knew we were allowed on the property yet he was still sketchy as shit. And then last but not least there is a third guy living in a trailer at the back east of the property who doesn't really care, he lives there via work he does. They have some pretty interesting stories about the queen and how they tried to get a back hoe onto the queen and fucked up the ramp and sunk the backhoe in the river. There is no point in asking these 3 guys for access onto the queen, the same answer we got everytime was wait until the big boss man gets back. I would love to go onto the queen. Speaking of boats, anyone want to do the mcbarge and its new mooring spot?

I'd be up for the McBarge, element. Where is it moored now? I thought they were renovating it or something. I've PMed you as well.

id be down. I actually work on boats so i could prob find a semi-decent boat for us to go up there on. I think its up in port moody right? DM me if you guys want.

Its not in port moody anymore. A buddy and I tried to get to it via the shoreline but do to the muddy fraser it was not doable. Best case scenario would be to have a boat to do it
|
|
I'm thinking the best time is to go tomorrow when everyone is hung over
|
|
Its just outside mission now. Really easy access if you dont get caught.
