The story in the beginning sounds really familiar, pretty sure I read it here somewhere.

Has Cracked become one of those sites like HuffPo or Buzzfeed where anyone can post anything?

I think anyone can submit something for approval, and there are some writers that talk to people for "experience" articles. They've also become like Huffpo and Buzzfeed in that most of what they post is just virtue signalling to show everyone how progressive they are instead of actually funny or interesting articles.

Interesting... That whole story at the beginning, about the abandoned school and the cops letting the dog go on the guy's leg... They're talking about me and my friend! This is the first I've seen this post though. Doesn't bother me at all, but I'm very curious to know who wrote this! It says it was posted by "Ryan Menezes" - I don't recognize that name at all. Of course it's possible I know him by his UER name or something.

I knew I read it here first! Wonder if some rando lifted your story for an article...

Probably. I stopped reading Cracked about two years ago when they became Buzzfeed 2.0, and you know Buzzfeed's reputation when it comes to citing their sources.

Apparently the author got their information from MonkeyPunchBaby or IS MonkeyPunchBaby, who hasn't been active on UER for years. He answered some questions in the comments section of the article.

It's usually a little more on the side of "we checked our source, but made sure not to check more than the initial source so we wouldn't have to do any further research"

I still enjoy some of the articles for the ideas they talk about, but anything with a statistic is a no-go

I got hit-up by an editor for CNET the other week, looking for free content photos of abandoned retail. Seems like literally any sort of content-driven website is scrambling to do a story on abandoned stuff, now.

I do not have any advice for you except that you have to read what was already said.

Does anyone have a proper, working torrent link for Abandoned? Preferably the entire season.

PS.
I found another series called Abandoned on YouTube, by National Geographic. These people are American Pickers meet Seph Lawless.
