Built in 1938, and was operational until 1969, it was a natural gas powered
 engine/compressor station.

damn sweet!!!!

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

True beauty from the hand of man.

When there is tranquility, you are in the right place. When there are no footprints, you are on the right path. When there are no tire tracks, you are on the right road.

Thank you, dundertits, Speed, Cherokee, and randomesquephoto.
It is a beauty.

There are still thousands of the engines in use today.
This one was preserved and maintained after it's retirement by Ector County.
It's open the public 5 days each year in Odessa TX.
