When you posted "So Many Boats" on Flickr, it stupidly didn't even occur to me where it was that you were taking the shot from. Fantastic!!

Thanks Guru, Ground! When I was sent the pic from the meet I knew instantly where it was and knew I had to make a run at it

Nice shots! I think I may go there one day, is the roof access easy?

Thanks RC. I won't be telling you how to get in, etc. Half the fun is doing that yourself. That being said, if you go, be safe. This place has places you can fall from and seriously hurt or kill yourself. It's dark and rusty and lots of fun!

First place I ever explored and one of my favourites at that. Glad to see you were able to get in..and out again.
Excellent thread Zen.

Very very cool. The shot of the condos is phenomenal.

A year and a bit back I was able to get in the basement of the Toronto one. There was tons makeshift living spaces in there and I had to walk alone through it with only my phone flashlight and a screwdriver I had found on the ground. I was also in toronto to seem some girl I had been talking to so I was in my nicer clothes and not prepared at all haha. I got a few cool shots of the basement but didnt get any higher than that.

About 2 and a bit months ago I found myself in Montreal exploring the same. I had gotten in through a poe that had looked like it came into existence that morning. After about 30 minutes of the main floor i ventured up some stairs at which I emerged on some platform about 3 stories. When I poked my head out there I saw 3 montreal cop cars with multiple cops walking around the base of the silos and looking in the holes. Some guy was yelling into a microphone but I dont speak a word of french so it was lost on me. I waited about 45 min in the pitch black in some random room and after that sprinted out the hole I came in and managed to get out unseen.

I'm quite surprised to read that cops actually went on the premises and were poking around the silos. This doesn't sound like the Malt Plant at all, unless you were very unlucky that day!

ClementRSedona and I are practically living in the Malt Plant, we've spent so many days & nights there without ever seeing the cops showing up. So much that the Montreal Malt Plant is like a second home for us..

Are you sure it was the Malt Plant and not the Silo 5? (where there are LOTS of police and security patrols on site, which would make more sense to your post)

1. Canada Malting Plant Montreal

2. Silo 5

3. Silo 5

Definitely Silo.5!

There is no way police would do that at the malting neither even go on the property.

Security at Silo 5 have been intense for the last months, But they are bad..., you just have to hide and they'll never find you, like you did.

LOL. Do you still have pics from our last visit together? Security was so bad they couldn't even spot the 5 dudes just above them, chilling and smoking weed.
