Been driving by and staring at this phenomenally beautiful building for almost two years now. Finally found the contact info from the owners and got permission to photograph all over it.

The wait was so, so worth it.

DAMN, that is beautiful work, Devon—as usual.

The ambient lighting from the foggy fall foliage and its connection to the leaf pattern wallpaper is a special touch. Just a beautiful home. So glad you went the extra mile for this one.

And that hanging coat against the entrance is so ominous.

Thanks man, I'm hoping to go there again tonight for some evening light-painting goodness

Gorgeous! It certainly looks fixable with a little time and some decent funding. I love it... <3

Oh man, I wish it was fixable. The photos don't truly show the extent of the damage. The center of the home, right under the stairwell, has collapsed to the basement. The living room floor has sunken down except for the center, where a support post from below is pushing the floor up, like a tent pole. Flooding two years ago washed away most of the stone foundation along the back, middle of the house. The roof was protected in parts by tin, but the dormers for each bedroom window at the back of the house have broken through and water flows through the inside of the house now, creating a line of rotting wood downward. There's many places if the house I dare not to venture. It's a beautiful mess.

The bedroom is fantastic and the shot through three rooms at once in #13 is very eye-catching.

I'm surprised to see this old post revived again. Anyways, this house collapsed last year and was bulldozed. It is very likely that I was the last person ever to set foot in the upstairs - a big part of why I do what I do.
