Precautions for a condominium being built?
< on 10/1/2016 9:43 PM >
Posted on Forum: UER ForumQuote
Hey, I'm kinda brand spanking new and been a few places here and there but I've never been to places being built... With that being said I think I'm going alone and I'm going just to explore the place nothing big. I' wondering if there's anything I should keep in mind when I'm going or be aware of any advice will be fine :') If anyone wants to come it'll be appreciated (knowing people here will be nice) the place in in Richmond Hill so message me if you are willing to meet up...

FLAME THE NEW ONE
He's not of the body!
Just kidding

Construction sites can be easy... If spotted you may be mistaken for a thief or vandal.
Contractors tend to be protective of their work sites. You are a liability to them.
Weekends and holidays like Christmas are the best times to hit most active sites.

Abandoned industrial sites are generally less hassle and many are more interesting.

Welcome to UER, and good luck.

Be careful. Darkness hides dangers. Every footstep counts...

Pretty fun experience! I entered though a busy street and intersection but the fence was open so when the light turned red I made sure where wasn't any cars passing by so I ran in.. Rainy and foggy day so I couldn't see much but otherwise it was not bad. In the end there were a couple of cars down in the site with flashing lights on top so I figured it was workers or police so I booked it haha.. I got pretty scared but when I got to the bottom there wasn't anyone around so I guess they were at the other building.

PS shitty pictures on my phone I know

I love construction sites personally, here are a few things i've learned. if seen act like you belong there, people will think nothing of it and just go on with whatever they're doing, most companies also don't do work on Sunday so you have a whole day to yourself in there ( they also close up the site around 6 every day). try not to move things around at all or touch stuff in general, one site I went to was kind of well known and some idiots got in and messed around breaking stuff, long story short there was a police cruiser there for a few days after hours making sure no one got in.

Yes, well... many supers know exactly who is there. Some have sign in sheets too. A super will have no issue walking up to you and asking you "What are you doing on -my- site?"
Workers and contractors may do the same. Many times they bring their own tools and equipment.
Most workers don't walk around taking shots and some companies prohibited it.

Inspectors don't just generally walk in and wander around; they ask for permission to enter. Supers are keenly aware usually of inspectors...
Each site and contractor are different though.

You're right but I meant when the workers arent on site and there are people who see you from the streets. I probably should have explained better, sorry

No need to be sorry, although I misunderstood what you meant. Some have done just that and walk into sites during business hours with great success. Ninja developed the concept of active infiltration into an art.

Being seen ducking and hiding is the worst thing you can do. I prefer not to be seen at all.
People are trouble.

yeah, whenever I go out with people that are newer to this I find that I play the role of a mom telling people what to do so we don't get seen or heard. Luckily I have a small group of friends who know pretty well what to do on a site to not be seen and to blend in.
