I've been mostly inactive and only lurking for a few years due to life, but have been steadily exploring the entire time during any of my sparse free time. I'm currently mid-move from Akron, OH to Dallas, TX and would love to meet some fellow explorers after I'm settled in! Hope everyone is having a good day and safe explores! Peace, y'all.

We have several active pockets of explorers in the DFW area, and even some interesting locations (albeit, not quite as many in numbers as our Yankee and Canadian counterparts). What part of the Dallas area are you moving to? I live a few miles from the DFW airport (north North Texas). Oh, and, Welcome!

Hey there! I'm up in Denton County and am trying to get more out there to explore...but, damned if life isn't super-busy right now. Plus, summer in Texas...always a challenge to explore through. With the weather hopefully cooling down soon, i've got some plans to get back out and see what i can see. I think we've got some great spots still left standing and relatively easy to explore. While i'm more of a rural explorer, i've set foot in some pretty cool urban spots as well. It's a big-ass state, so there's some great places within a day trip as well...even more further out south and west in the state. Oklahoma is relatively close to DFW as well, but i've yet to search out places there. Here's hoping you can find some great spots, I know I'm always on the lookout for the next great location.

I'm a few miles west of you. There is a DFW meet-n-greet scheduled under Events here, however nobody seems to have RSVP'd...

I'm an Explorer right here in the DFW area, Duncanville to be exact. Some people try to organize meet ups to get to know other explorers but nobody seems to attend them.

I was lucky and met three other members at my first meet-up. Unfortunately, I quit going because people never did show. I'd be happy to go to another one if some people actually showed up though!

Instead of starting my own thread, why not just piggyback on this one? So yeah... I haven't been active on UER (or in urbex) in several years. Wouldn't mind getting back into it again. I'm way out in SE Garland (where Garland, Rowlett, and Rockwall all meet).

I was working on my location map yesterday and you guys have more shit up in that area than anywhere else in the state - I'm so jealous!

I was doing the same thing and the amount of schools that are HUGE and vacant is uncountable.

We *do* have a lot of places in a relatively small area up here, no joke. I sometimes envy the West Texas area for their entire towns of nothingness, myself. But, getting there is a long drive from here...which I don't enjoy. My map of locations here is constantly growing and i've discovered that hundreds of locations are within a two hour radius from my house. It's overwhelming at times, especially since I can't get out as much as I'd like and so many places are out there (and, as we're seeing, so many don't last long). If you ever get up here and looking for some folks to run some spots with, you've got a lot of us to choose from. If I've got the chance to get out there are see some places with some folks, I'd love to take it.

I'm not too far from Garland in North Dallas. Haven't been active much myself lately, but my love of UE hasn't dimmed at all.

Been on UER for yearssss, just now slowly coming back out of inactivity! Can't wait to do some exploring down here in Texas. Been here about 5 months and haven't had the chance to get out much until recently. Time to explore.

Sounds awesome. I'd like to think there's going to be some time this Spring, assuming things don't get too summery here too early.

I don't know which Texas y'all are from, but the Texas I live in has nine months of summer and three months of, "other," in any given year.
