Rest in Peace Every step and handhold count... please splore safely.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

Damn. Last time I was there was 5 years ago and it was quite dangerous then. I can't imagine how bad it is now. Must have been one hell of a fall.

Sploring at night makes it even more dangerous. There's no reward for failure except death.

That bloweth mightily.

Still no details on the actual fall itself. It doesn't take all that much human error to fall from a catwalk at midnight and if it was "near a smokestack" it was outside, in the dark. That place has got securitah so no flashlights outside at night. I wonder if she just walked into space, fell through an opening or something collapsed under her? That sucks.

I'm wondering if she climbed the stack. It has a caged ladder however at the top is open; 3 points of contact, always. Whatever happened it was a poor plan from the get go. Imagine trying to navigate the blast furnace complex at Beth at night on your first trip. A little bit of light simply isn't enough.

Sounds more like a bad four story fall from the deteriorated area shown in photo below, which appears high enough to be fatal. Landing area could have been hard and/or full of industrial debris. Appears an officer might even be standing in that fourth floor doorway to the catwalk area, where decking may be missing:

No joke... 4 stories unto steel is more than enough to kill you. Missing sections and holes are how many fall.

20 stories up on a stack of bricks she's never seen in the daylight, at midnight with no light. I wish I didn't have to say it, but... DERP. What a shame.

The cap looks jagged in the image. Was she really trying to traverse that? Wow. A piece probably fell away... with her.
