Go ahead, tell me how shitty of a photographer I am. Just kidding. Don't be that mean. But seriously, give me some constructive criticism. I want to raise my picture taking and editing skills to the next level and I know there's some excellent photographers out there who can help me do that, so here's 6 of my best shots from the past few weeks. Keep in mind the overall quality of some of them has been reduced by uploading them. Thanks in advance, y'all are awesome 1.

1,2,4. Liking these a lot 3. Just not doing anything for me... not a keeper except to document. 5. The lense barreling is messing up a great shot. You can correct for that. 6. Looks better with some of the lower portion cropped out so the sloping portion of the grass hits the lower right corner. All in all very nice shooting

These are very good. Everything Blackhawk said I agree with. The barrel distortion is apparent in several of these. If you are using Adobe Lightroom apply the profile corrections to get rid of that. It really seems like you aren't doing much cropping to frame better your shots. Id recommend thinking about being more aggressive about that in the future.

Thank you both, I'm glad you like them Just to be sure, what exactly do you mean by barrel distortion? Like how the book is in focus but the rest of the church is blurry? Thanks guys

the sharpening is way overdone imho
Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time. Z.B.S. Halevi -- Kabbalah |

https://photograph...what-is-distortion Go forth and familiarize yourself. You must have used something around a 20mm zoom lens for these. The nice thing is the type of distortion you have is the easiest to fix in post. Your composition is very good, but you are putting your gear in positions where the optical train is as a disadvantage. So if you learn from this you can take flatter images that will both look natural when wanted, as well as use your perspective distortion in certain situations to draw attention or make objects of interest stand out such as the broken lightbulb in one of your images.

Number 4 has a background blur effect that was obviously made using Photoshop. If you can re-do the effect, then it might actually be good (That's as mean as I get. Are you crying yet?)

You have me bawling thinking about the creamy smooth bokeh of my 70-200 f/2.8 that I had to sell. Lol, better get the buckets, floods predicted
