Great news. I'm looking forward to the restoration and reuse of this historic building. Kodak's Mount Dennis campus was an impressive factory complex until the very end. There were many buildings, and they were connected with bridges and tunnels. The interiors were bright, clean and modern. It's too bad more wasn't preserved.

Oh yeah, this'll go over great... It's been sealed for 2 years now. The inside of that place is going to be in horrible condition.

It was on fire for 6 years before that, so boarding it up for two probably hasn't made it too much worse.

It's not like Metrolinx has much choice in the matter. The building has heritage value under O.Reg 9/06, and Metrolinx is forced to treat it as a heritage site due to that, regardless of the actual status it may have... so they can't tear it down.
Currently, it's sitting right in a key part of the LRT yard they want to build on those lands, so it has to be moved one way or another.
