It was discussed a little bit here- http://www.uer.ca/...urrpage=1&pp#post0 I'm not a big fan of what's happened since this hobby got really popular, so I won't be watching. I just hope they don't blow up any good spots.

I accidentally made a new thread in the 'other' category. It was pointed out that this thread already existed. Looks like my post got moved over here anyway. Sorry for the blunder. Please excuse my stupidity. Derp.

Any publicity is bad publicity. I miss the early days when nobody knew squat. A big component of urban exploring is going somewhere that nobody else goes. Hence, I shun all media whores.

In other news: Red Bull is fucking sponsoring an urbex show.

I really gotta agree with the people who are trashing VICE. I had to fight them to get some pictures of mine removed from their site after they cropped out my watermark. All vice is going to do is make money off getting tweens interested in our hobby.

-if you look at it and think 80's, I love it |

I hate sounding like an old fogey, but fuck what they're doing to this hobby. And fuck Vice in general. Bunch of hacks.

I caught the episode about Newfoundland this weekend when I was flipping channels and there was nothing else on. It was actually pretty interesting. I guess it would totally depend on the sites visited in each episode that would determine whether I would watch it again.

bump.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

I watched the Red Bull one out of morbid curiosity. It was fucking awful. However, I enjoyed the bit where this dork got caught by security climbing the shot tower at Melbourne Central. His lame attempts at socially engineering the security guards were unintentionally hilarious. I'll probably watch the Vice one as I like Rick McCrank. I'll report back with my findings.

Just caught the episode about St. Louis n its many problems. Actually really well done I thought. The buildings they explored are oasis'(s?) for people like us, but they're exactly the ones that shouldn't be abandoned. Sad sight to see really. Gotta catch the other episodes, that one about Newfoundland looks interestin.

Just watched the St Louis one and really enjoyed it too. It was thoughtful and I liked the people they spoke to. Rick McCrank is a pretty unobtrusive host and I liked the way he let the people tell their stories.
