Hi, im pretty new to the forum and have gotten two invites to ue meets. So far i have had to decline both as they were during times i was not able to attend as i was busy with school. I know this is probably the wrong forum for this but im not sure if different areas have different rules so ill just post it in the ontario forum. I was wondering for the Ue meets do i have to be a certain age to go? Also if i were able to go do we go by real names or forum names? This would help a lot as im hoping to go to a few over the summer if possible. Cheers, Mullet

Generally I think an introduction takes place with your forum name and then your real first name (no last name necessary). It's kind of ridiculous to call someone by their forum name for the entire day. If you want to attend a meet, it would be a good idea to be at least 18 because you're an adult and nobody else will be responsible for your actions or injuries.

I think I went to my first UE meet when I was 16 or 17, just don't act like an idiotic kid and it's usually fine unless people are planning on going somewhere high risk. But then again I haven't been in years. As noted above introduce as your forum name then real name, some people always go by their forum names though. Hope you have fun!

Alright thanks guys, hopefully ill go to a Toronto meet this summer if all works out then. Another quick question, can i bring a non forum member to a meet or do they have to make an account first?

I don't see why you couldn't, I know in the past people have brought non members.

Wow, been here a decade, a mod for more than half that, and NEVER received a meetup invite. Dang Ontarians. ㅠㅠ
