Posted by ClementRSedona why were you so sketched out about that guy?!
He was not looking like a hobo or someone dangerous
I tried to greet him twice and he looked away and didn't respond. Then he went and stood by the exit. We were probably just paranoid cause this place was in a pretty bad neighborhood.
An abandonment in a bad neighborhood? Really? I guess it's a normal reaction then. Most of the people I run into in the upscale neighborhood abandonments are stock brokers, CEO's and accountants....
I can't believe you guys took off. The dude was obviously hiding from you. There were two of you, one of him and one of you had a knife the size of a large claymore. I would have made more of an effort at communication and if it failed just ignored him. It's not like he was going to sneak up on you - all the debris on the ground was crunching under foot.
Paranoid? I think not. Pussies? Now I think we're closer to the mark.
He was probably just as scared of you guys, maybe more so because there were two of you. I wonder if, even though he was blocking the exit, in his mind he was standing there to allow his own escape.
I probably wouldn't leave either, I might even loudly say "Hey dude, we're just looking around and don't want to make anyone uncomfortable." So far I think I've talked to all the people I encountered in abandonments, and never had any emergencies. I don't blame you guys for bailing though; it's good to listen to your gut when you get those feelings. You can probably always go back.
If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire... Tunnelrunner33!

I agree that we probably both made each other uncomfortable. There really wasn't much to see there so leaving wasn't that big of a deal. Thanks for watching.
