Quite possibly one of the strangest places I have ever visited. I visited this school today in an old West Texas ghost town. After hopping the fence and snapping a few shots of the exterior, I made my way in. The peeling paint was beautiful! A hallway shot then onto one of the classrooms. WTF! All of the classrooms had been converted into stalls for livestock! I was shocked and disappointed that someone would turn a beautiful old place like this into a barn! The thought of cows roaming the halls and laying in the place where kids used to come to learn, virtually brought tears to my eyes. Enjoy!

What the hell? That's really strange! Was there even a farm nearby? I bet it was really disappointing to see troughs instead of desks with rotten apples on them. It's pretty interesting though. It's definitely not something that I'd expect to see. You seem to get out quite a bit. Good on ya.

This town is extremely small (23 people in 2010). The school had only 6 rooms and yes I was pretty disappointed. But that's what makes this hobby so interesting, you never know what you'll find in these old places!

Haha, yeah, we've got a school up in North LA that is used by a farmer and the bathrooms have been turned into a cattle shed. Nice shots and location!

That's crazy, I've never heard of someone converting a school into a barn. Either way it looks like a great find. Was there anything else cool in the ghost town?

there is another school up in the panhandle where you are likely to run into cows while inside...
