From dailymail in U.K.:

Features lots of photos by Seph Lawless, who was banned from the park, after the photos taken. Also, video clips.

I would not try it unless you never plan on returning to Magic Kingdom, but it would certainly be interesting if you could get away with it. This channel has quite a few "Abandoned Disney" related videos. He doesn't ever go into any restricted areas, which is good because Disney apparently has no problem lowering the ban hammer, but there is some interesting stuff. Here's one from recently about River Country:
https://www.youtub...atch?v=ovk_8SzphT8

And another one about a ride building which is mostly vacant at DW:
https://www.youtub...atch?v=Jh7iL-rUvHI

I've started getting obsessed with theme parks and exploring an abandoned one would be super awesome! Especially since it looks like they left the slides and stuff in

Related: climbing an abandoned roller coaster

I would proceed with caution if anyone attempts to get in, I've always heard Disney has extremely good security, at least for inside of their functioning park. Random security officers everywhere dressed as civilians. Secret tunnels and pathways across the park everywhere. I would imagine it wouldn't be monitored as hardcore, but keep this in mind.

Yes, there are some pretty good reddit threads about (among other hilarious tales) cast members being assaulted or other various guest misbehaviours and security laying down the law, and about the tunnels/backstage areas. Not really tunnels but utilidors, they are actually the ground level while everything in the Magic Kingdom is actually on the 2nd level! Only for MK in Florida, though, as far as I know. I'm sure the same surveillance systems are in place in the unused (it's not abandoned obviously) area, at the very least on the perimeter.

As usual this is more of his bullshit. He claims he was banned from the park. This implies that he was caught (again). In previous articles he's claimed to have been arrested dozens if times. I've been doing this for over 20 years and never been arrested nor banned from a location. Either he's lying or a complete douche when exploring.

In the article he says he wants to expose the environmental damage that giant corporations like Disney have left behind. This one is the best. The place is in Florida - in a swamp. It's completely overgrown after a relatively short period of time. Mother Nature doesn't seem to be struggling much and his own shitty pictures show it.

The other side of this false crusade is that this dill hole makes his fucking living off of these "giant corporations" and their pollution. Who picks up the news and broadcast his latest "discovery"? Giant media companies. Who publishes and prints his books? Giant media publishers.

Furthermore! it's giant corporations that have built the fucking buildings that he goes in and takes pictures of! If they demolished and cleaned up the site in a timely and responsible fashion this self-promoting shit mound wouldn't have anything to take pictures of!

The guy's an idiot. Not only that, he does harm to this hobby by advertising these locations thus encouraging inexperienced people to visit them and others with no respect for the sites to destroy them. I say fuck you Seph Lawless! The next news story I want to see from you is the one where you tumble to your death from a broken 15 story stairway, then you corpse is repeatedly gang raped by homeless people and your body set on fire! I'll even pay for the lighter fluid

He claims he was arrested over 50 times. If he is telling the truth (he's not) he must get arrested every time he goes exploring since he's only been to about 10-15 locations.

Also, all of his books are self-published.

Let him spread whatever crap he wants, he's basically just admitting he's shit at exploring places undetected

The only possible way I could imagine someone actually getting arrested that many times is if they stood on the rooftop with a neon sign in one hand and a bullhorn in the other, daring the police to do something about him.

So either he's the biggest idiot to ever cast a shadow upon this hobby, or he's lying. At this point, I'm not sure which is more likely. It's evident he wants to seem badass, but all he manages to do is to apply both halves of the word to himself separately.

Love that one. This one guy used to have a really good reading of it, but it was taken down for some reason.
