I could tell you where it is, but you might call me a liar. The dam was built in 1919 and first generated power for the nearby village in 1920. The dam was rebuilt in 1923 in concrete. I'm not sure when the powerhouse was decommissioned, but all that is left is a steel ramp, the concrete and stone foundations and two turbines.
The dam is a popular spot for anglers, some luckier than others.
The nearby bridge, constructed in 1957, is an interesting shade of aqua.
I liked the patina of this plaque.
There is evidence of a much older bridge.
It was a cool overcast day, but a day out on the bike and exploring is a good day indeed.
