The Data obtained from your test turned out better than the docs had thought... Thats Awesome news! With your continued weight loss causing less stress on your heart you may get even more positive news down the road and a renewed hope for the future. I know this has been a roller coaster, with months of mental and emotional turmoil too. The latest is very good to hear tho...Thanks for sharing...Keep Hanging Tight Man!

Hello all! I went for a stress test on Friday... it went ok. The preliminary data obtained is better than the doctor hoped for. He and my primary cardiologist think they may have a way now to treat it. I go for a sleep study next, probably in May.
We'll see where this goes...

Awesome news to read about !!

Well, that's a bit of good news! Hopefully there will be more good news to follow. I can't imagine the roller coaster you are on right now, but I hope that it smooths out for you soon. Keep us in the loop. We are a bunch of misfits, but we do care.

You must be feeling better Sam both mentality and physically they can measure an improvement. I'm impressed Keep doing what you're doing.

Try sleeping in a position where you don't snore. No snoring, no sleep apnea. Sleeping on your side or with your head turned sideways many times will lessen or stop it altogether. If you learn to relax your throat you can tell if you'll snore or not in that position. Lol, I low growl at people who annoy me be doing that. A perk

Well, got some bad news financially today... It's the kind of thing where, for a few minutes, it seemed like a good idea to drive to DC and go all jihad on the IRS building.

oh no no... it's not that simple you see. (eyeroll) hold on, I need to drop a deuce before I embark on this epic tale...

I applied for a hardship withdrawal on what was left of my 401k. This was to pay off my Chevy. I waited a week. Nothing. Called the company yesterday and was told that because I had not exhaust all available options (taking out a 2nd and final loan on my 401) I was not eligible for the withdrawal. If I take that loan out, I would have maybe $50 a week left to live on. AND THEN, once I did that, I would have to write a notarized letter that the Chevy was my only mode of transportation (it pretty much is.. the Subie is a bit untrustable right now) and that were was no public transit where I live. Yeah, I'll hitch a ride on a bears' back, sweetie.

SOOOOOO... how's that for a sharpie in the eye socket?

Keep the loan on the car. Leaves more cash available for now. It's not attractive to bill collectors for seizure as its not paid off. Worry about the rest later... or if you have it almost paid for, sell/trade it for an older reliable car or truck.

Do what you need to do to make it work while you still are in control so it works out best for you. It may not be exactly what you want but get what you need...

I took a loan off my 401k to keep some cash available. I'm still not sure if I am going back to work or not. ON TOP OF THAT, the new mill manager has been sending out adios letters to people who have been out of work for 6months+... so not only do I have to worry about health and money, I have to worry about being dismissed. Life is a shitshow.

Hello folks, just an update... I had an appointment with my doctor this afternoon and it went surprisingly well. The data from my stress test was good, I have lost twelve pounds from my last appointment and my medication issues are being clarified as we speak. Next step on the agenda is a sleep study and possibly one of those masks for apnea. I go for a consult and then the study later this month.
The downside was two-fold... they have kept me out of work for three more months. That's a given. Here's the thing, my parents (I know... how old are you?) are really questioning whether I should go back to my job... this is a very tough decision to make and I still haven't really cemented it yet.

So, just thought I should let you guys know where I am at this point.
