Very little is known about this small town outside of Lamesa, TX. All that remains are 2 houses and an old school. I spoke with a local "resident" and he said that across from his house there used to be 2 old shacks but they have long since been plowed under and nothing remains. A few years ago, an old man stopped by and said that he had graduated from the old school back in the 1940's but nobody seems to know when it was started or when it was closed. If anyone has any info on this place please post it here, I would love to learn more about it. 1.

This is a great find, I'm just starting to get that exploring itch again.

I'd have to guess it's a WPA school. looks pretty standard construction wise. Cool spot.
I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

^^I LOL'd at that too...better than the un-dependable version
"if you are not selfish enough to make yourself happy, you have nothing of value to offer the world."
The 12 year old came out in me when I saw that. I actually took about 8 pictures of it so I could make sure I got it right. I wish it was in better condition but you take what the URBEX gods give and be thankful.
