Hey! So in-between the Radium Resort and Invermere there's this super dilapidated looking park called "Playland". I have seen a few pictures of it already, I was just wondering if anybody knew the security around the place or if theres any way to contact the owners in order to walk around? It looks super neat, but its also on the side of a relatively busy highway so I just want to know if theres any complications around it (like nosey neighbours or owners living on the premises, anybody that I can ask to gain entrance, etc). I think it's just at the beginning of the Dry Gulch Provincial Park for those who are just as curious as I!

I used to work at the 'resort' across Hwy 93 from the hot springs. Then a few years ago it burned down. what is the site like now? See if this works... Playland Family Adventure Park (629757 B.C. Ltd.) See what you can find with the numbered company. For what it's worth, not having seen it personally, the level of decay/destruction at this location (from the pictures online) tells me security is not really on anyones agenda. ::

Security is non existent! I have been there many times since my family would go camp at dry gulch every year for the last 10 years. It's definitely worth checking out. I have never seen anyone else there. One year we even started up one of the go karts in the garage down below and did some laps around the track. Also you should hit the slides theyre great.

Update: I actually got around to stopping by and it was actually super cool! Note though if anybody goes to check it out, in the basement of the white building's (pic 21) basement there are 3 metric shit ton sof needles so please be as safe as possible (also the garage for the go karts smells like death)! Seriously so interesting though, totally worth checking out on your way through! As for security I can agree, there is absolutely none at all in the slightest (hell, there aren't even any "No Trespassing" signs or in tact fences!) 10/10 would explore again 1.

It's rare that someone posts 50 pictures here and I have the patience to get through them all without ever thinking "This is too much." Nice work!

Nice pics! I really have to find this place, it looks awesome!

I thought of this thread when I drove by the other day, but sadly didn't have time to stop and get more pics of it. Cool spot I must say. There is an old mill around there, but the location is escaping me right now.

Sorry to bring up a dead post but anyone know if this is still around? I see there is a zip line place that comes up as the old address for play land and am wondering if they own the land now.
Keep Exploring! |

Going to have to squeeze this one in on my way to/from Alberta this year, looks like a worthwhile detour.
