Notes on Pulling the Sky Down

I've been lucky enough to get out a few times this year already. Here is a quick look at a few neat spots.

I finally got to meet up with Randomesquephoto, to shoot this well known abandoned resort that I have wanted to visit for years.

This other abandoned resort was on the way home, so after lunch we parted ways with randomesque and stopped by here for a brief run through.

That same weekend, we went to this large partially abandoned psychiatric center just over the boarder of Jersey in New York. After plans for a weekend of hopping around the Catskills went to shit, my buddy Gravemind came up and we went back to the hospital the followng weekend.

This cool little 1890's era house sits abandoned in the town I grew up in. I did a quick run through one day while running errands for work in the area.

And finally, this massive abandoned hospital center was on my list for years, but its so far and sucha pain in the ass I never had the chance to visit. After passing by it twice on my way to an abandoned state school nearby, I decided to give it a go. My buddies Pat and Justin joined me for the day, and we covered a good deal of the campus which is undergoing renovstions to become a college.

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

I LOVE 11. That hanging lamp/lighting fixture is unreal. Its so big, it reminds me of a traffic light. Awesome pics of the resorts. I never tire of seeing them. 14, is simple, yet, so precise...really makes for a Great hallway shot.

Awesome to see you're getting around through the colder months. Great stuff as usual! Good to know that that psych center hasn't been fully converted yet.

So far they have completed work in the Chapel and Theater, and abatement is currently underway in the old admin building and one of the smaller buildings in front of where the prison was. Some of the wards, like the last photo in this set, were fixed up without proper abatement done two years ago. As a result have started to fall apart again. But they are supposed to open for classes this year, so who knows what's going to happen.

Love the lack of graffiti.

Oh it was there, in every place except the house. I just tried to shoot around it. Thankfully it wasn't that bad anywhere.
