We got on the roof of a local aquarium. Some very nice views of the city, and of the aquatic life.

holy shiat!! that whale shark is absolutely killer!!!
Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time. Z.B.S. Halevi -- Kabbalah | |

Thanks a lot! It sucks that the beluga whales were one of the coolest things, but due to foggy glass and other hindrances photos couldn't describe the greatness of it.

Curious, did the dolphins (or other animals, for that matter) respond to you being there in any way?

Thanks for the question, kind sir! In fact, we did not observe any dolphins during our visit. What you may be referring to in the pictures, as stated in the title of said pictures, is a Beluga Whale - an animal which is more similar to a narwhal than either a whale or a dolphin. As you can see in the photo titled "Cheesin", one of the two (2) Beluga Whales appeared to notice us above, and started putting on a show. This particular Beluga Whale, let's call him "Benjamin", seemed to be posing for pictures, and even began to play with various objects. The other of the two tanks we were able to see into contains many examples of aquatic life - notably in our pictures, Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, and Eagle Rays (again no dolphins). These wonderful creatures seemed not to notice our presence at all, given that they cannot physically look up if they tried. The most interesting response we got was from the Sea Lions in the first tank (they were with the Beluga Whales, but not featured prominently in the pictures). One of the Sea Lions, upon seeing us, tried to escape his tank. He actually made it quite a distance before the other Sea Lion called him back into the tank, presumably fearing the consequences of a failed escape attempt.

I'm familiar with the differences between the animals, but i mistook the one in "Cheesin" for a dolphin. My bad. I didn't know whether the beluga noticed you or you just caught it in that position. That's pretty cool, though. Must've been quite the experience!

Ah, yes, I can see where the confusion might arise in such a situation! Indeed, sir, the Beluga Whale (a true majesty of nature) was surprised to see us there on the roof. One can only imagine what thoughts must be running through the head of such a creature during such an experience.

How did you get up there?

Well normally I might disclose such information, especially on UER.CA, considering how excellent the community here is consistently. However, I see that your account is a mere 5 days in age, and you are a mere 14 years yourself. I cannot encourage criminal behavior amongst minors as yourself. That being said, the trek to the roof was incredibly difficult. Perhaps one of the most testing and riskiest of my career as a trespasser. The big climbs, the menacing wall. Ah, just thinking about it brings me back. I will say that if you do attempt it, bring with you a carabiner system to avoid falling to your death whilst scaling the main wall. Toodles!!

I keep coming back to this post every couple of days. It is one of the most badass things I've seen. I just keep looking at it, speechless.

Thank you, authorless. Comments like this are what inspire me to keep going every day, despite the voices telling me to end it all. Hit me up when you're in town, I'd love to grab a coffee/tea/chilled beverage with you sometime.

I really like the shot of the Beluga Whale. This is one of the coolest infiltration post I have seen in a while. I hope y'all keep up the good work despite it being fishy.
