A few months back myself and two close friends were all off on the same day. So naturally we planned a full day of exploring. We started things off at a former Convent. Despite being less than 10 minutes from my house I was unaware of it until I was tipped off by friend who had been doing some work at a development going up next door. The place is currently for sale and unfortunately had been mostly cleared out. Still a neat place to check out close to home. Heavy construction activity on the road out front meant little chance for exterior shots, but I will be returning for those. After that we went to a Malting plant with a great view of the city. I had been here earlier in the year, but it's a low risk spot and worthy of a second visit. To wind down the day we went to the opening night of the Grain Elevator Light Display in downtown Buffalo. One of the vacant grain silos on the lake is illuminated with lights and designs. This show is still going on nightly. I recommend checking it out if you're in the area! On a mission to find a spot away from the huge crowd we ventured off on our own. We ended up finding a spot by the canal behind a active plant. We had a brief scare when we heard voices while sitting down by the water. Luckily it was just some workers having a smoke break. I asked if it was cool that we were there and the one guy simply said "I'm on break, I don't give a shit!" On the way back to the car, while walking over a truss bridge, I noticed the gate for the steps leading up top was wide open. Not one to pass up such a opportunity I headed up. After climbing many sets of steps I found myself at the top of one of the towers. The view was amazing, unfortunately I couldn't linger long since my friends did not want to make the climb with me. Anyways, enough of my rambling. On to the pictures!

Thank you!! I knew you would like the B&W shots! I read on another post that you had back surgery recently. I hope that all is well and it's a speedy recovery!! My dad has had back issues throughout most of my childhood and still does to this day. So I know it's not a fun time whatsoever.

Keep it up! You'll be back out there before you know it! In the meantime you've got lots of time to go back and edit old photos! Always look forward to seeing posts from you. My job will likely give me back problems long before exploring will haha.
