Chicago trip write up

Jac Steel and me decide to go on a two day trip to Chicago. Our main goal was to climb few cranes and to explore with mrjack92.

Before we meet up with mrjack92, we did little rooftopping while waiting for our pizza to be ready. This one was extremely fun rooftop to do. We had to use one of the balconies to get to the other balcony.

The first crane, everything was going fine until someone spotted us going up. At first, we tried to play it off and climbed for little bit more. We noticed that he pulled out his phone and seemed like he was taking picture/video of us. Thank god, it was dark enough that the phone can not make out our faces. We quickly made our way down then left the area.

After this, we check out an abandoned factory that had we believed had few homeless people staying there. We left that place. Didn't want to bother them.

Then, we tried to explore this abandoned soon to be demolished hospital. I can't tell you how much we tried to find a way in! Nothing could stop us at that point. We did end up managing to get inside one of the buildings. Unfortunately, we couldn't get to the main building because the main floor is flooded.

At this point it was very late, mrjack92, ended up leaving us. Jac steel and me wanted to give it another try. We decided to do another crane. This one was the highest crane we have done so far. We mananged to climb the entire crane. Our goal was to walk on the beam but the condensation that was happened at the crane was crazy! the entire thing was dripping water droplets. It was way to slippery.

I always felt that Giordanos was the best place for the Chicago pizza experience. They recently opened a store up here in Minneapolis (!!!) which means, I guess, they're watering down the brand.

I wonder if this was the same place they got into at the last meet? If so, it is sad they will destroy it.I did not go in but it sure looked pretty.

Glad you guys could come out. Had a shit ton of fun that night.

Speaking of which, I may be hitting up Detroit this summer as part of a Rust Belt road trip i'm planning. If you guys are down, we can meet up and hit some places up there.

Damn! Impressed by the cojones on you guys to attempt craning. I know the penalty is super tough if you get caught but it's something I've always wanted to do :~)
