I am wondering how big your drone...? Anyways, I like to have one bag that can stay with me for 2 full nights.
I have...
Tripod,
A camera backpack
Flashlight
Two portable USB batteries
Gopro
Nikon d3300
My 14" laptop
Hood
12-24 tokina lens
Kit lens
Some gopro accessories

I do hate climbing cranes with a huge backpack but I would hate going back down because I forgot something.

MORE LENSES!!! As a camera nerd, I do enjoy getting new lenses. get a prime lens, something like a 35mm, or a 50mm if you haven't already. very sharp lenses. Other than that it seems like you're good!

Nikon D90
18-55mm Lens
50mm Lens
Occasionally bring a tripod
My camera bag to carry all the photography gear

^I had been considering a camera strap like that for awhile, but I just can't stand the fact that it attaches to the bottom of the camera. I would really hate to unscrew it every time I needed to use my tripod which tends to be a lot in abandoned buildings. Would be nice for hiking and outdoor shoots though.

I use this strap on my 5DII: http://www.blackrapid.com/products/sport

With the lock carabiner on it, you can remove the strap as necessary and they make different connection points for the camera that are also compatible with different tripod plates. Works just fine on a standard Manfrotto plate here.

d90, 24 oz beer, small collapsible mini tripod, 2 or more flashlights, tissue packet, snikers bar, and sometimes a full size tripod.

And to answer the original question:

- 5D Mark II and various lenses / accessories
- Full-sized tripod (eyeing a mini-tripod one of these days)
- Slingshot camera bag
- Lenser HP14 flashlight (primary)
- Lenser HP7 flashlight (backup)
- couple of granola bars
- water bottle
- gloves (these ones)
- bog roll

If I'm draining or somewhere else where it's really dark, I bring along a bunch of flashlights mounted on small gorillapods to set up my shots.
