I'd love to turn Hearn into a climbing gym, it has a huge space inside that would be awesome for setting up walls, plus you could just put rope in some places and leave the building as it is there, for people to practice "urban climbing". You could also use the smokestack for practicing extremely long rappels, which would be ridiculously fun.

They did that here in Kingston, it's this place called 'The Boiler Room' and it's Canada's highest indoor climb where they converted the chimney into a set of four rock walls.

I'd turn the massive cooling tower into the worlds biggest flesh light, climb to the top and jump in so I could be "drowning in pussy" for once in my life

Hmm. Hmm. Hmmm. There's this good-looking water tower in Liepaja, Latvia. I would create there small and comfortable library. It would be a library that would collect books and other media about old industrial architecture. There would work a cool team who could impact local government and prevent some buildings from being demolished or being rebuilt in a wrong way. There's awesome rooftop so in summertime library staff would invite musicians and throw parties. It would become as a revolutionary thing and sooner or later, all other kind of interest libraries would appear all around country.

I'd love to turn the abandoned mental hospital in my town into a museum. One of the buildings on the campus is being used by the town and another building is being abated to be used for something. I think it would be awesome if the remaining buildings could be turned into a mental health-related museum. Being the weird person that I am, I've already came up with a hypothetical plan for it with ideas for what each building's exhibits would involve. Unfortunately, it's probably never going to happen. There's an abandoned house on a main road in the same town that I'd love to buy, repair, and live in. I feel like that might be slightly more likely than my museum idea.

Sauter Building. Waukegan, IL. Gone, now; but would've done something - anything to see it restored.

Posted by Peptic Ulcer I would buy up entire city blocks of property, fence them off and let them rot. Then all of you could enjoy the explorations. Maybe to keep it interesting have some security guards and a few roaming dogs just so it's not too easy.

I'd have wolves and tigers.
