Birmingham: 1st Visit

Thanks to Oelkers for some pointers! Me, my wife, and daughter, armed with our cameras and curiosity, heading west to Birmingham. After a 2 hour drive, muddy jeans, holes in a shirt, 10 pounds lighter thanks to the heat, and a few ticks later, here are some pics from all 3 of our cameras. We plan on going back when it gets colder outside. Less bugs, and we didnt even scratch the surface of Birmingham. Anywaysssss... Hope you enjoy!

Maybe the best shot I've seen from the round house, excellent shots from Ensley as well!

Birmingham is a beautiful old city. I've been there several times on business and always wanted to visit some of the old buildings downtown. Birmingham used to have a ton of iron mills and factories many of which have been converted to manufacturing centers. It's been a couple of years since I've been there but as I recall there were a lot of good old factories that are abandoned. I'm so jealous you got to do this. Cant wait to see your next visit!

Great shots and great locations. So much good stuff in Birmingham... except for schools. Stay away from the schools.

Ya Birmingham was a huge deal in its day. It was actually kind of upsetting driving around seeing what once was.
