Freshman Friday (picture heavy)

Today I got a chance to go to my now new favorite place that I thought there was little hope of making it in. The first few times I saw it I was pretty put off by the idea of being able to get in due to it having three separate gates and just overall very secure looking. It also is in a pretty residential area with half of the building visible by people from their houses. The other half is very easily visible from the street. So after getting up at 4:45am, picking up my friend, pulling up at 6 and making it through the gates, we finally got in. I knew the building was pretty big but the magnitude of it became quickly apparent. Unfortunately as soon as I got in there I found out the slave flash for my camera was dead, which usually provides the right amount of light. So it was time for long exposure shots which didn't go as well as I hoped. The building had so much more than I expected, including an armory, a small court room and easy roof access. After spending about two hours exploring and not even making it through all the rooms we ended up leaving so I could make it to work. On the way back we made a short stop at an old rail yard. The last time I had been to the rail yard they were shooting a movie. This time it was clear, free of security and all equipment. Saw a radioactive alien baptismal pool looking situation, and also a tree I thought was real, was mostly styrofoam. Overall a successful day, but I'm definitely looking to go back again when I don't have other obligations for the day. If anyone in Atlanta wants to go, let me know. But finally, here are the pictures I got for the day.
