Final ride on a TTC H4 Subway: The Big Vent by Vic, on Flickr

Is a now-retired TTC H4 subway car circa 1975 "antique" enough?

Let's go with the old hot water radiator next.

How about something untouched by the decay around it? (either new or oddly intact)

Although the rest of the building was rotting away, this computer monitor was still fine.

What about something really overgrown?

Something more than 50 years old (mid-1960's or before).

"Will you compromise and then realize the price is too much to pay?" "Winners and losers... which one will you be today?"

Old Rusted Hotel or Hospital Sign

The last photo of a strip club and hotel that was demolished on the outskirts of Niagara Falls last year.

Demolition of the Dollhouse

Next up?: A 'treasure' you discovered with careful eyes in a fairly well-traveled place that everyone else seems to have missed.

I found this on trip number four. I've combed this place so finely I was actually worried I wouldn't find anything new to shoot during this visit. The local guy I was exploring with has probably been there well over a dozen times and it was a first for him, too. All of the rooms leading up to here looked like they were rotting for a fucking century then after turning a ridiculous amount of hidden corners and rooms-within-rooms, this pristine tiny hallway's-end opened up in two smallish closets.
They turned out to be padded rooms for children in an abandoned psyche ward that closed in 1997.

Let's see something random that has no business being where you found it.

This infant's shoe is one of the many strange things found in one of the basements of an abandoned hotel in the forest. This basement was only accessible through the kitchens/loading area.

Something left behind by another visitor.

This is the latest post, right? Once it hit 40 pages I have trouble navigating.

This room had two baby grand pianos, a working stereo with record player, records including the Dances With Wolves soundtrack which has my (shitty) theme song, and a couple boxes full of the tenant's CD (the last of which satisfied my conditions for when to take something). They later came back and removed everything, including the two pianos, despite the lack of an elevator to service this seventh-floor building.

Or, this pottery.

Next: somewhere you wish you hadn't gone, either a general site, a sketchy ladder, a shit-smelling room, etc.

The second time I went, we were held at gun point by Texas Game Wardens. I had enough adrenaline and anxiety in that 30 minutes to last me for the rest of my life.

I found this heart hanging in the basement area of a mill. When I went back and looked at the picture I took I noticed that there is a small lock on the left-hand side, and that it actually may be a door. Wondering what was in there still nags at me a little.

Plentiful. ( something that you found a lot of in one area? )
