St. Christophers Separate School

Hey guys! Me again!

I stumbled across an abandoned school in Hamilton, it was pouring rain when I explored it with my friend but there was no easy way in.

I got photos of the outside. Unless you want to climb the fence, you have to walk behind the little community pool to get around the school, through the bushes and into a hole in the fence at the back.

Has anyone been in this school yet? I would have loved to explore the inside of it but I was soaked and didn't want to ruin my camera gear. It was raining so hard my umbrella was no help.

This is one of those places where nobody wins. The neighbours think it's an eyesore. The fire department has been out to extinguish numerous arsons. The city has issued enforcement orders to secure the school. Somewhere out there is a caretaker who's trying his best to keep people out including attempting to put a mesh fence up where the windows are. The cycle of arson and vandalism only continues.

Given the privacy the rear of the school affords, people can take their time ripping off the boards for a new way in. It's got to be quite frustrating for everyone.

Entry on this visit was as easy as pulling on the door handle.

I'm pretty certain I "explored" this place around 1988, playing basketball or volleyball in the gym.

Wow!!! Thanks for the post, it looks just as I would have expected it to but would have been super awesome to get inside nonetheless. On this same day I went to check out Century Manor and had no way of getting into that location as well - it was my first time failing at TWO locations in one day! It happens, can't always win.

I figured it was being secured regularly because the locks and chains on the doors on the East side looked really new, like really new. I tried the "just pull the door open!" technique and got some disgusting foul smelling grease all over my hands. Thankfully it was raining and I could rinse my hand on a wet leaf...

A handful of other peeks inside; these were my three favorite visuals from the location.

I think you should make a return visit. A sure bet that access here opens and closes faster than ___ (fill in blank with your own dirty simile).

This place was open for a while, these are from july 2014. I'm surprised this place is still standing I heard it was getting demo'd.
