So I met up with suadensky95 and we kicked it down a storm drain that had a deeper water level than we anticipated. We got maybe 50 feet in and decided to turn around. Waders will probably be a thing when we go back, or at least mid-thigh high boots. Anyways, onto the good stuff. After driving around for a few minutes and thinking, we decided to try a paper mill. He had attempted to go there before but it didn't work out. But it did this time. Funny how you make plans to go somewhere and it doesn't work.. but when you just DO it, on a whim, it works perfectly. There were lots of buildings (6? 7?) and we only explored two. We definitely plan on going back. Photos courtesy of suadensky95, because I was mesmerized by this place, and just exploring. I also may have dropped my camera in my cats' water bowl. 1. On the third floor, looking down.

7. This was all over the place, not sure what it is. Google didn't help. If you would like to see more pictures, here is suadensky95's Flickr: https://www.flickr...hotos/blueglass95/ He doesn't sort the photos into albums.. There are 4 pictures I didn't include in this post I think. Just sort by "date uploaded" and it will be obvious which ones are which.

Number 4 is awesome! I love finding things like that in random places. Nice set.

My favorite! I didn't even see that one, I just saw it in the pictures that suade took and sent to me afterwards. I'll be going back to check out the rest of the buildings anyways but I definitely want to check this one out since I missed it.

Nice explore! I really like the mural of the woman being burned at the stake. Someone ought to sneak a photograph of Shireen Baratheon's face in there and tape it over the mural, haha. I don't watch the show, but apparently "Wesen" are beastlike humanoids from the TV show Grimm. Is someone putting up graffiti murals about Grimm? The other thing it made me think about was the 'werewolves vs vampires' live-action roleplaying scene. Maybe people sneak in there and LARP or something. Weird. Good to see you out beating the streets again, JennyUE.

Hey guys Im the dude who took the flicks. I just want to inform you guys that pictures 3 and 5 are from a different location as the others. I went to that location shortly after dropping Jenny off to her car! I'm glad you guys are getting a kick from the artwork we saw there.

Whoops. I have got to show you how to sort those into albums lol

"Die Impuro Wesen Rule" is sort of broken German for "The Impure Beings Rule." I don't know if "impure beings" refer to voices in a person's head, or a specific impure being, or what. It's different for each culture. It's a fun bit of art to find- I'd love to meet the artist, though I wish he chose something other than a wall to write on. Thoughts, anyone?

This location was actually used for shooting the TV show. Hence the "Grimm" themed graffiti.

That also explains why they were so detailed. I remember commenting about the fact that they must have had a p t of time to do it because of how smooth it looked. Thanks!

Thanks! When you come to Portland next hopefully the place will still have holes to get in and I can show you it!

I'm commenting here to bring it back to the top, but since I have been to this place a bunch of times, and some things have changed so much but some so little. If you compare the Grimm graffiti in 2015 to the most recent pics, I appreciate that graffiti artists stayed away from vandalizing this area. It's almost unavoidable, it's one of the first buildings to enter in.
