Posted by Steed I squeezed through a fence to get one last look at a mural village in the middle of active demolition, and found a couple pictures appropriate for around now. This is from Sugungga, one of the most popular Korean folktales, which is being retold a lot because 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit. The Dragon King was dying, and needed a rabbit liver to survive. So he got a turtle to bring a rabbit to his undersea castle. https://daehanmind...1231dongjak/38.jpg[/eimg] The rabbit promised to help, but said his liver is too valuable to carry around everywhere, so he hides it on land for safekeeping. So the turtle brought him back to land to retrieve his liver. And then of course once there, the rabbit laughed at the turtle and ran away. https://daehanmind...1231dongjak/37.jpg[/eimg] What happens next? The rest of the wall is gone. https://daehanmind...1231dongjak/36.jpg[/eimg]

What a strange Myth to me at least what is the overarching message?
Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time. Z.B.S. Halevi -- Kabbalah |

Looks like the main theme is about the consequences of being naive. It's become pretty popular again after the band Leenalchi staged a performance of it: https://www.youtub...atch?v=RcrwSWw3bH8

A routine archaeological survey in the heart of central Seoul has uncovered train tracks that nobody seems to have known were still down there. Seoul retired its streetcar system in 1968, though I don't know (and I doubt) if this line was operational until the end.
Here's a view of the site from farther back.
There are going to be public tours of the site next week where the tracks will be uncovered. I didn't come close to making the cut, so I'm probably going to jump the fence again late at night.

Was playing around with some 360 video and thought it was cool how at max zoom a door frame forms a ring.
