Brandon250 and I went on a nice long hike out to an old Powerhouse. It was pretty amazing to see it still standing. Spent quite a while exploring the building and the general area. Definitely another cool spot to see.

Cool set, it's a place with history. Meant to visit this a while back (I think via the same route you probably took), maybe next time I'm down. Too bad some dick felt the need to deface it. What was in that little cone building? Did you look for the penstocks/ tailraces?

Thanks it was pretty amazing! Really cool history. That graffiti ruined one of the coolest things about the place definitely. We did look in it yes, Wasn't sure what we were looking at at the time though. 1.

Hey thanks! yea it was a awesome place to check out but a really long hike haha. Next time your down send us a message we definitely want to go back and check out that water fall a bit more, and I wanted to see if there was another bedrock culvert down the way a bit. As for that cone building j-vic got some better pictures of that then I did so he can post those.
I believe this is the tailrace but no we didn't see the penstocks. 1.

J-Vic, Brandon250, Amazing stuff bros! I'm digging it. I have an idea of location ;) The brickwork is beautiful, I love the mini tower house sitting just in the ground. I love this old stuff, Cheers

Is this the lubbe powerhouse?

yes it is the lubbe powerhouse. She still stands!

aw man I love these photos. Looks like a really neat find! I live in Vancouver, too bad I almost never go to the island, might have to make an exception now.

A reminder that the entire Greater Victoria Water Supply Area is closed to the public to protect the region's drinking water. Visiting the Lubbe Powerhouse contravenes CRD Bylaw 2804 and the BC Trespass Act.

Visited the Lubbe powerhouse this summer. The CRD has put up a few cameras and security lights to deter taggers. I also found it amusing that they posted an informational poster on the front door, as though they're expecting people to come find it. The building itself was pretty well sealed and I couldn't find an easy entrance (and was somewhat discouraged by the cameras) but took a few pictures of the outside.

I loved this place! Its sad to see it all boarded up now... Side note... if you get caught ripping the plywood down its legally considered break and enter.
