Four Explores

I've been on the fence about whether to upload these or not, but with a hard drive on its last legs I thought it best to go ahead with it. Below are four explores from the perspective of two GoPros. Nothing brilliant, but I wanted to go a slightly different direction than usual with them. Instead of being about what we found, they're edited to focus on the act of exploring itself. I wanted to show all of the conversation, decision making, and reactions, to make it feel like you're there with us. Not sure if I succeeded or not, but here they are.

The Doctor's House

Apartments & Basements

Isolation [Old and does not reflect the above-stated format until the second part.]

Ascension Hospital

Side-note: Would you consider the last video to be giving away entry details if it doesn't say the location? There's a notice in the description for each vid that I'll be deleting any comments giving such things away, but I'm still not sure if it's too obvious. If it matters, the entrance shown isn't do-able as of the last time I was there, but I'm leaving it as unlisted until I hear some opinions. Same goes for the others - if you feel I'm showing something I shouldn't, let me know.

Hey man. As you can see, I'm not a mod or anything. These places look to be to be already stripped and then destroyed by vandals, scrappers and taggers. I wouldn't be concerned about people finding out about them via your videos. There's very little additional damage that can be done, apart from full demolition or arson.

I'm pretty sure you're good. Raticus is the guy that's officially in charge in the video board though.

Cool videos, thanks for sharing!

I'm with Gunner on this one. I don't see that the entry point on this location is any issue at all. I've only watched the last one at this point.

Video postings for UER, though they have been around for a while, are still a relatively knew posting medium, compared to photos and written descriptions.

No doubt someone will chime in and disagree, but I think when it comes to video it's going to be next to impossible to lay down a rule that says "absolutely NO entry point shown, EVAR". I edit video for a living, so I'm not speaking without knowing what I'm talking about.

It's not really enforceable even it the rule was there. Unlike a photo location where we as mods can delete one photo of an entry point and leave the rest in tact, with a video, the only option we have is to kill the entire posting. If I deleted all videos in this forum that show some sort of entry information, half of the forum would go away by lunch today.

Some of the locations I've shot video at will be totally impossible to show without showing entry points. Because the whole place is an entry point. Some places, it's rather easy to keep it out in the first edit.

The general guidelines are pinned at the top of the Video section. I think in general it's a good idea to not show entry points, because it is a long standing and accepted practice to not reveal entry points, but in some videos, in my opinion, it just doesn't really matter. Like this one.

I know this is a long post/explanation, but I'm really saying that what I do is look at each video on a case by case basis. And in this case, I don't think it matters. You're fine.
