Best of 2015 So Far - A New Perspective

Greetings-

This month I've concentrated on improving my photography, and expanding my comfort zone on some of the most epic rooftops, climbs, and adventures of my life so far. I just thought I'd post some of my best from these past few weeks, and see what you all think.

Any comments or criticism would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, and enjoy.

Nice shots man! Still loving the upwardly mobile view of my little town (that I am unlikely to get myself >.>). Your night and evening photos are fantastic. I also really enjoy the geometric composition of 2.

In your shots with selective focus, I'm having a little trouble grabbing onto a clear, specific subject. Especially in 11, where you've chosen a comparably blank space with a plain line to be the focused part of the image when there are clearly more massive, textured, architectural elements (and interesting architectural elements - the original entry to the hospital, however unfortunately it's been walled off by the UIHC amoeba, is an impressive building) present in the background. It's confusing to my eye, like at first I can't quite tell where the focus in image actually is.

Also, I'd recommend playing with some processing on your daytime shots... bringing some contrast and saturation up a little could sharpen up some of the colors (all that red brick... mm). I mean, don't go TOO crazy, because there is such a thing as over-contrasted and over-saturated images - we've all seen them ;)

I look forward to seeing your next set! (And, you know, take all of that with the grain of salt that I'm super new at this in the big scheme of things and that's just my first instinct looking through these).

I'm really loving your night shots! I agree with the selective focus, I think Crows is right about 11 as I think it would've created a stronger image had you focused on the buildings.
Just keep shooting man, you're night shots are on point!

Hey, these are pretty neat. Pic #2 had me confused for a second. I like it
