Growing up I frequently passed this run down white building that sat a ways back from the road and I always wanted to look around. I have been a photographer for a few years but recently got into more exploring so I finally decided to stop by. Apparently the local Biblical college owned it and left it to sit. While exploring there were obvious signs that a few squatters had been there. Later on I heard from a friend of mine that does picking that he bought two large tables from the property leaving a large empty space in the main room. 1.

The last picture reminded me of my visit to the United States in December. Considering how concerned Americans tend to be about privacy (as opposed to, say, someone like me who usually spends three quarters of a student party naked), then why in the name of Zeus's butthole there's a one-inch gap around the toilet stall door and a one-foot gap below it, and the walls reach barely up to my chin... edit: I just noticed that the stalls pictured do not even have doors.

Because the American idea of privacy is a complete farce Love this set, Lost Photographer! I'd love to see this spot in person. I think if I'd seen this off the side of the road I would have assumed it was just old farm sheds. I'm definitely going to have to start eyeballing things harder next time I'm out in the back country!

Thanks Crows! Maybe when it gets warm I can come up to the IC area one weekend and explore with you and IceBurgess, then some other time you guys can come down to Central Iowa and I can show you some spots down here! I've been talking with the guy that runs Abandoned Iowa and it sounds like I might explore with him one day so maybe we could have a little meetup here in central Iowa.

whoa!
When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store. |

*thunderclap* So shall it be done! Seriously, though. That would be awesome. Next time my partner and I are driving west, I will definitely send up a flare. I've exchanged a few messages once or twice with Abandoned Iowa, seems like a cool dude. I hope you guys can get together and take some awesome pictures!

The piano (aka photo #5) is beautiful! It's too bad it's sitting out there to decay. Nice find
