This topic has been beat to death and a bunch of rumors have been spread. I've been exploring around Sarasota/Tampa for about a year now and trying to find my own places. I know where the Door is at, I just want to know if it is sealed shut? I heard about it being welded shut and possibly being filled with concrete. I am planning a trip to go down and see it. I anticipate a bunch of sarcastic responses since thats normall what Florida Door discussion turns into, but I really hope someone can at least tell me if it is still possible to see before I drive 2 hours to the everglades.

Once they banned Nomeus, the Florida Door vanished into the night sky. Some say it went back to it's home planet, others think it was just a hologram, while most just think it was an old septic tank...
None-the-less, its gone forever now.

Sadly the door was sealed shut with very large concrete blocks back in 2013. Not sure if any of the old buildings remain.

i just really hope the department of agriculture relocated all those radioactive alligators. i'd feel terrible if they got sealed up with the underground mole people.

Seriously though, While yes the door was sealed by enormous concrete girders it has been a while since I've heard something new. Who knows what the condition of the place is now.
That's why, Invadercow, I think you should go down there and let us know what you find. Besides, you never know what you'll find on the way there or back. That's what urban exploring is all about...you know, exploring.
