Miserable Mold Mall

Recently, arsytee, Reptile, and I visited a mall that was in terrible condition. Even though it fully closed recently, the mall has been occupied with very few stores and has been in disrepair for a long time. A lot of the stores have been gutted but a few cool things still remain. The ceiling is in terrible condition and leaking everywhere. There are some areas where black mold covers the walls from floor to ceiling.

The place was originally set for demolition in August of 2014 but it keeps being delayed. It is supposed to be replaced with an outdoor shopping plaza.

One of our friends didn't bring a respirator so he thought tying his shirt around his face would work. Needless to say we didn't let him go into any of the really moldy storefronts.

We both kind of got the exact same picture, it was too good a photo op to pass up though. We found this set up exactly like this, it possibly could have been set up by a previous urban explorer though.

The code for the safe was written on a sticky note but it also required a key which we couldn't find.

It's crazy to think that it "offically" closed only around 2 years ago.
Here's a crappy phone shot of a hallway infested with mold. I didn't have my camera on me when I went back here.

Yeah the geometry in there was really cool. Made a lot of great pictures.
