I hope they're working on the clean up. It'd be a shame to see all those machines wither away into further disrepair. That Cincinnati press in the other building is fucking impressive. About the size of two big SUVs.
All of the press machines are ginormous. Do you know what they made?
They made the equipment to manufacture fertilizer. At least that what I can deduce from the internetz and the lettering on the side of the building.

Manufactured to manufacture things that manufacture. Quality! But actually that Cincinnati press is huge. Biggest thing in there for sure.

I know the company by a different name
The company name is abbriviated AUW, is that what you're thinking of? Edit: To remove the full name in order to protect the identity of the loc.

It's a fun place. Sad to see it get so bare in just under two years.
Agreed. I'm seeing the mutual friend tomorrow night. I'll find out the family's status on the property in terms of clean up and report back.
Please do. Ask this person about the the window sign with the company name that is now missing

Just compared my old pics of the place with the new ones. Lots of stuff has changed. The forklift moved a good 5 feet! How do you move a forklift?! @revolution As a side note, I just clicked the link to your site in you signature, amazing work! Never seen those Atlanta locations get photographed so well.

Post the old pics to compare

OLD:
(All of the gears in that closet are gone now)
NEW:
Blue and red forklift changes position, the chain-pulley hoist is moved like halfway across the shop, all the metal on the left has moved, large metal door in the back is completely ripped off. Can't find this in any of my old pics, It must have moved out of a corner.
If anyone has any more pics for comparison please post. I'd love to see what else has moved around/disappeared. Edit: My god-awful spelling, as usual

Hmm, if you compare your old picture of the giant gear to the recent one in my original post of this thread, all that stuff is gone. Things really did move around.

Wow Turtl, now that's an awesome video. You guys got some great pics here and its sad to see how its degraded over just a few short years but that's just what happens in the life cycle of an abandoned building. I'm glad to see someone in ATL starting to put together good video, I've always wanted to do that but felt that I never had the time or proper software to really do it right, congrats man. Sucks about the guns drawn, I know that feeling.

I want to know how and why they moved a non-functioning forklift.
