Stumbled on this place on a commercial real estate site (a GREAT way to find abandoned buildings, btw), and as a brewery fanatic I'm dying to go. The real draw though is pic #2, an underground rathskeller which was "a favorite gathering place of the city's clubs, societies and other social groups." No idea if it's still there or accessible, but I want to know, and I know you do too.
A quick drive-by revealed no easy entry spot, but I'm sure we can figure something out.
Cheers!
P.S. Being new here I'm not 100% on the etiquette, so let me know if I did this wrong.

Yeah, it is. I'm considering just calling the real estate company that owns it, telling them I'm a brewery/history fanatic, and seeing if they'll walk me through it.

Is this right off 90? I think this was one of the buildings I was interested in trying to get into at some point. I'm down! We can also tell them a) two of the photographers in the group are interested in the location for their book and/or b) we'd happily be escorted and sign liability waivers. We can also toss in some $$ for time to sweeten the pot if that doesn't work.

You could also say you're interested in buying, assuming you could pull it off. Or another tack would be to say you're part of a photography club and would like to get a group in to take pictures.

Cool, let me see if I can get in touch with someone. If by some miracle we get into that rathskeller, we're definitely drinking a beer down there. Nosferatu, anyone?

Posted by aretheygone lets get like a group of 5 or more all throw in like 20 bucks. money talks
I wouldn't mention money unless they asked first. All we're asking is that they unlock a door. But yeah, I'd be all over it.

sounds straight, hit me with a message if you get a hold of em/locate a viable PoE! If I'm not busy/working around those times I could easily drive up to Cleveland and explore. I've lived in Akron for 2 years and have only explored a few times, I'm getting antsy lol
I know I'm pretty late replying to this, but I was actually able to enter this building last winter, and upload the adventure to YouTube. The entrances that we used were sealed and inaccessible by the time I finished editing the video, so I left those parts in.
