Graffiti art

Graffiti is considered vandalism and therefore not condoned by UER. However, while exploring, Ive ran into some beautiful murals and pieces. Does anyone else appreciate the artistic ability of some graffiti. Please post pics of any pieces you`ve found while exploring that you thought were great.

I am a fan. I wont lie. A lot of those artists are my friends. These people "create" ways in to inaccessible places here in the midwest. Most of them are not criminals but they look at these buildings as opportunities to further their own art form. We have very strict laws on vandalism here in the midwest and these people use the inside of abandoned buildings to practice and show off to one another. it is annoying sometimes but i cannot demonize someone for practicing art. Sure, just writing your name is stupid but sometimes we see something amazing and beautiful. That and the fact that some of these people are the hardest of the hardcore explorers

I hate the shit they do sometimes but sometimes they can amaze us all. End of story.

Definitely a fan if its tasteful, especially as a political statement or comedy piece. Some of the best stuff I've ever seen was in abandoned buildings that don't exist any more.

It depends. I can appreciate some of the artistic murals I've seen around factories and other nondescript buildings. It's the people that feel the need to write their names 50 times all over an otherwise graffiti-less church or schoolhouse that irritate me.

Words or names is still one of those things that I am okay with as long as its tasteful. Like the follow picture, when its artistic, its a piece of artwork, when it is scribbles like this one is surrounded by, that is tasteless.

Some are undoubtedly amazing. I always prefer the ones with imagery, like this beauty.
You could see it 'whole' from a certain height on the opposite building, as it was painted on two walls.

Street art is the purest form of art in all it's rawness, sincerity and expression. The most basic form of self expression with no dollar signs attached to it. These street artists have my utmost respect ... more than pieces in the galleries selling for tens and thousands of dollars ...
